Alejo Rodríguez Sánchez (They/Them), also known as ALEJO, is a Colombian-American Vocalist, Composer, & Arranger born and raised in South Florida. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition at the Florida State University College of Music in Tallahassee, Florida. Alejo is also the Music Director, Arranger, and Beatboxer for FSU's premier A Cappella group, All-Night Yahtzee. In 2019, Alejo released an EP of songs from their original musical, My Elijah, recorded and produced by V The Sound Girl. In 2020, Alejo was selected as a national winner for the Musical Theatre Songwriting Challenge, hosted by the American Theatre Wing & the National Endowment for the Arts, where their song “Days From Long Ago”, which appears in Alejo’s EP, was rerecorded and sung by Broadway’s Solea Pfeiffer and star of West Side Story, Rachel Zegler.
